DeepSeek Harness officially starts its local Web UI from the command line. This project wraps that flow into a desktop application — it starts and manages the local Harness service automatically and integrates a system tray and desktop window, so users need neither a Node.js install nor a terminal. It is not a plugin you add to a profile; you download an installer from the project's site, and macOS and Windows are supported. Two planned features are not shipped yet: mobile remote control (connect from iOS or Android to start tasks and watch agent progress from a phone) and a desktop plugin marketplace for discovering, installing, updating and managing plugins — the latter echoing the Harness "everything is a plugin" architecture.
