Ask DSH "is there a plugin that…" and this skill finds candidates across GitHub's `dsh-plugin` topic, explains the differences, and installs and verifies only after you pick. It works out whether a repo installs as a bundle, a Cordis plugin or a skill, and stops for confirmation on lifecycle scripts or suspicious writes.

Not an installable plugin package

There is no package.json at the repo root, so dsh plugin add fails outright. It may be an index list, documentation, a standalone app, or still in development — check the repo README for how to use it.

Editor's notes

Finding plugins normally means browsing the GitHub topic page yourself; this skill hands the job to DSH instead. Say "is there a plugin that can visualize data and flows" and it runs its bundled script to fetch every public, non-archived, non-fork `dsh-plugin` repository, narrows to the handful that actually match, explains how they differ, and waits for your call before installing anything. During install it reads the README, `package.json` and repository files to decide whether the repo should be installed as an official bundle, a Cordis plugin or a skill, then verifies the result. When lifecycle scripts or suspicious extra writes are involved, it stops and asks rather than proceeding on its own. The catalog is the GitHub topic itself, so it makes no difference whether a repo belongs to a person or an organization, and repositories stay discoverable after a transfer; `dsh-external/hub` supplements categories and install information when it is reachable. To install, just send DSH a message asking it to install the dsh-find-plugins skill from the repository — or copy the whole `skills/find-plugins/` directory into `~/.dsh/skills/`, where the directory watcher picks it up immediately.

  • One plain-language question searches the entire GitHub `dsh-plugin` topic, checking only the closest candidates and explaining the differences
  • Reads README, `package.json` and repo files to decide between bundle, Cordis plugin and skill installs, then verifies
  • Stops for your confirmation whenever lifecycle scripts or suspicious extra writes are involved
  • Copy into `~/.dsh/skills/` and the watcher makes it live instantly; project-level or `~/.agents/skills/` also work for sharing with other agents
